Review: The Paul Autard Chateauneuf du Pape La Cote Ronde is a mid red in the glass. Aromas, moderately strong, speak of plums and dusty violet.
On the palate, this comes across as young in its sandy tannins. They wrap a plummy, deep blackberry core. Full of stuffing. Plenty of time to sit and mature. Three stars now, with a plus because I'm counting on bigger things from it for the future. read more »
Hot nose burns off to reveal cherry, red licorice, and cinnamon
Full-bodied on the palate
Finish of prune, herbs, and some lingering spice

(NW) broke out this Chateauneuf du Pape which is primarily a GSM blend(Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre). The hue is a light medium red with slight bricking (amber notes) at the rim. This wine has sweet aromas of fruity tobacco with sheets of nuanced fruit and a periodic strip of sweet fresh strawberry jam. Wonderful and absolutely peak! read more »
